Job summary

Ardencote Manor - Hiddenwell | Luxury Wellness Retreat in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Nights Manager to lead our Night Reception and Porter teams, ensuring guests receive a warm, professional and seamless overnight experience.

This role offers 40 hours per week on a 4 days on, 4 days off schedule (9.00pm - 7.00am) with a salary of £28,000 per annum. You will coach, manage shift handovers and contribute to high standards across the department.

Qualifications

• Must be a natural people leader with calm, organised decision-making.
• Experience in Front Office, Reception, Nights or Duty Management is ideal.
• Excellent hospitality and guest service focus.
• Able to train and coach teams and manage shifts.
• Commercial awareness with an eye for sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Leading, supporting and motivating our Night Receptionists and Night Porters
• Creating a welcoming, professional experience for our guests
• Overseeing arrivals, guest requests and special requirements
• Handling guest queries and complaints confidently and positively
• Ensuring accurate shift handovers and overnight reporting
• Monitoring room availability and maximise room sales and revenue
• Checking guest accounts, postings and other financial transactions
• Coaching the team to identify opportunities for in-house sales
• Working closely with Reservations, Accounts and other hotel departments
• Taking on Duty Management responsibilities when required
• Completing overnight fire safety walks and ensure security procedures are followed
• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety across the department
