Job summary

Ardencote Manor - Hiddenwell | Luxury Wellness Retreat is seeking an Assistant Nights Manager to lead our Night Reception and Porter teams, ensuring guests enjoy a warm, professional experience throughout the night.

The role requires hotel/night operations experience, strong leadership and a focus on guest service, safety and seamless night-time processes. 40 hours per week, nights, with weekends and bank holidays included.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel/night operations is preferred.
• Strong leadership and training capabilities.
• Excellent guest service and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate Night Receptionists and Night Porters.
• Create a welcoming, professional guest experience during night hours.
• Oversee arrivals, guest requests and special requirements.
• Handle guest queries and complaints confidently and positively; ensure accurate handovers and overnight reporting.
• Monitor room availability and help maximise room sales and revenue.
• Coach the team to identify opportunities for in-house sales and upsells.
• Collaborate with Reservations, Accounts and other departments.
• Take on Duty Management responsibilities when required.
• Complete overnight fire safety walks and ensure security procedures.
• Maintain high Health & Safety standards across the department.
