Job summary

Ardencote Manor - Hiddenwell is seeking an experienced Assistant Head Housekeeper to support the Head Housekeeper in leading day-to-day operations at our luxury wellness retreat.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, five days out of seven, with a salary of £31,000 per annum and an estimated start date of 12 October 2026. You will supervise staff, ensure exceptional standards and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel or hospitality housekeeping.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• High standards and attention to detail.
• Positive, hands-on leadership style.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm in a busy environment.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
• Luxury hotel or spa experience is a real advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Housekeeper with day-to-day operations.
• Lead, motivate and support the housekeeping team.
• Allocate daily workloads and coordinate the team.
• Inspect bedrooms and public areas to meet luxury standards.
• Monitor room turnaround and maintain efficient operations.
• Respond to guest requests and feedback professionally.
• Collaborate with Front Office and other departments.
• Assist with rotas, recruitment, onboarding, training and team development.
• Help manage linen, cleaning products, equipment and stock.
• Promote safe working practices and COSHH procedures.
• Provide hands-on support when needed.
