Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. seeks an experienced Department Manager Nights for the River Island operation in Milton Keynes. You will lead a high-performing night shift, develop people, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced ecommerce-enabled warehouse.

You'll balance customer expectations with team performance, monitor KPIs and costs, and foster a positive culture. The role offers a full-time, permanent contract with Monday–Friday 17:00–01:00 hours and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a complex, fast-moving logistics/warehouse environment, ideally within eCommerce.
• Ability to work on your own initiative while effectively leading a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of end-to-end warehouse processes and health and safety; IOSH is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational performance by monitoring KPIs, progress and costs against budget.
• Create and maintain a positive team culture, encouraging involvement from all team members.
• Manage the allocation of work day-to-day ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets are met.
