Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Milton Keynes is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a busy River Island warehouse operation. You will manage teams, ensure timely service delivery and drive performance on KPIs within a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong people leadership, data-driven decision making and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. You will coach colleagues, maintain health and safety standards and contribute to a positive, inclusive culture.

We are currently looking for a Shift Manager to join our River Island operation in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a busy warehouse operation, leading teams to deliver exceptional service while driving continuous improvement, colleague engagement and operational performance.

This is a full time, permanent position working a shift pattern of 4 on and 3 off and then 3 on and 4 off with working hours of 14:00- 02:00

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

• Lead and motivate operational teams to deliver exceptional service and achieve KPI targets
• Manage daily resource planning, headcount allocation and operational performance across the shift
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality and productivity
• Promote a positive, inclusive culture through coaching, engagement, recognition and development of colleagues
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, environmental standards and operational procedures

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous management experience within a fast-paced logistics, warehousing or operational environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, motivate and engage teams at all levels
• Proven ability to analyse performance data and make effective operational decisions
• Good systems knowledge, including confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• A proactive, self-motivated and flexible approach with a focus on delivering results
