Job summary

Care in Mind is seeking a Mental Health Waking Night Support Worker ( Driver ) for Bromborough. You will work nights 8:30pm–7:30am, including weekends and some bank holidays, supporting young people with mental health needs in the Cherryhurst home.

A full UK driving licence is required; you will update care records, administer medications, and handover to day staff. Training provided and on-call support available.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work night shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
• Full UK Driving Licence (manual) required.
• Must attend training throughout employment on weekdays.
• Good written skills and ability to write basic reports clearly.
• Basic IT skills and use of online care systems.
• Good verbal communication and listening abilities.
• Maintain professional working boundaries and calmness in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Update online care records and complete medication administration.
• Provide effective handovers to day staff.
• Contribute to the general upkeep and tidiness of the home.
• Support wellbeing, education, household tasks and life skills of young people.
• Manage incidents and de-escalate challenging behaviours.
• Ensure safe transport and client engagement during shifts when required.
