Job summary

Buzzworks in Scotland is seeking a confident Night Manager to take ownership of the venue overnight, ensuring guests feel welcome and safe while the night team runs smoothly.

You will welcome late arrivals, handle check-ins, supervise security checks, manage handovers to the morning team, and support with guest requests. A hands-on, guest-focused leader with calm judgment on duty is ideal.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel, accommodation or night-management experience preferred.
• Depicts dependable attitude and guest-first approach.
• Strong decision-making and calmness on duty.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming late-arriving guests and completing check-ins.
• Supporting guests with questions, requests or concerns during the night.
• Carrying out regular security and safety checks across the property.
• Responding calmly to emergencies or unexpected situations.
• Ensuring public areas are clean, tidy and ready for the morning.
• Completing night audit processes, reports and administration.
• Preparing a clear handover for the morning team.
• Setting dining spaces for breakfast and assisting with departures when needed.
• Following fire-safety, licensing, security and company procedures.
• Acting as the senior point of contact within the venue overnight.

The Work

As Night Manager, youwill take ownership of the venue overnight, ensuring our guests feel welcome, looked after and completely at ease.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming late-arriving guests and completing check-ins


• Supporting guests with questions, requests or concerns throughout the night


• Carrying out regular security and safety checks across the property


• Responding calmly and professionally to emergencies or unexpected situations


• Ensuring all public areas are clean, tidy and ready for the morning


• Completing night audit processes, reports and relevant administration


• Preparing a clear handover for the morning team


• Setting Dinning spaces for breakfast, and supporting with departures or guest requests where required


• Following all fire-safety, licensing, security and company procedures


• Acting as the senior point of contact within the venue overnight

About You

You will be someone who enjoys taking responsibility and can be trusted to make good decisions, even when working independently.

You will also be:

• Warm, approachable and naturally guest-focused


• Calm and confident when dealing with challenging situations


• Organised, reliable and comfortable working through the night


• A strong communicator who can provide clear and accurate handovers


• Comfortable using booking, payment and hotel-management systems


• Security-conscious with excellent attention to detail


• Happy to be hands-on and help wherever needed

Previous hotel, accommodation or night-management experience would be ideal, but just as important is your attitude. We are looking for someone dependable, kind and genuinely passionate about looking after people.
