Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Team Lead to oversee installations for customers across the UK. The role involves leading a team of technicians, installing camera hardware, and ensuring quality and safety standards on site.

Overnight work and travel to client sites are required, with a 6-month fixed-term contract (minimum 30 hours per week). You will manage on-site activities, coordinate tasks, and ensure timely completion while maintaining SLAs and documenting installation progress.

Qualifications

• Proven field service technician experience, with leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong technical aptitude for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Experience using power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina for long hours on site.
• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with clients and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site to meet plan and schedule.
• Install camera hardware and supervise the installation team.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and address potential issues.
• Serve as primary on-site customer contact and resolve issues to meet SLAs.
• Review completed installations and hand over to clients.
• Maintain records of installations and time spent using company tools.
• Onboard/scanning products into the system.
• Attend and lead night installations when required.
• Enforce safety protocols and train new team members.
• Meet or exceed KPIs for speed and quality.
