Job summary

Riverside in Lewisham is seeking a Support Assistant to help run one of our supported housing services. The role focuses on safety, wellbeing and the smooth day-to-day operation of the service, with no personal care required.

You will work with customers who have varying needs, assist with tenancy-related matters, liaise with GP, Social Services and benefits teams, log incidents, maintain records, prepare rooms for new occupants and help promote independence through budgeting and accessing

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people, including homelessness or addiction.
• Basic administrative and IT skills to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering personalised support and move-on plans.
• Understand the risk management process and help organise regular reviews of support and risk.
• Inspire and motivate customers to meet agreed outcomes and develop life skills.
• Assist customers with day-to-day support and tenancy-related matters.
• Signpost customers to external support services, such as food banks and community resources.
• Maintain clear, accurate and strengths-based records on the digital platform.
• Carry out day-to-day administration and operational duties.
• Assist in safeguarding and promoting customer safety and wellbeing.
