Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Night Receptionist for the Emergency Department. The role is 30 hours per week, on a shift pattern from 11pm to 7am, with unsocial hours and weekend/bank holiday commitments.

You will join a busy ED team of around 25 receptionists, delivering a high-quality, efficient front-door service in a fast-paced environment. Benefits include NHS pension, flexible working opportunities, generous annual leave, and access to staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
• Educated to diploma level or NVQ 3, City & Guilds certificate level in Business Administration or equivalent
• Experience in dealing with the public and NHS environment is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive and efficient Reception service within the Emergency Department.
• Register/book in patients and update patient records using the Trust's IT system.
• Scan patient documentation and handle enquiries at Reception.
• Work as part of a team to ensure optimal reception coverage and patient flow
