Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Receptionist, Band 2 in the Emergency Department on a part-time basis. You will provide a comprehensive reception service, register patients, manage records, and handle enquiries in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts include early, late and night periods with unsocial hours attracting enhanced pay. You will join a large NHS team dedicated to delivering high-quality care across GRH and CGH.

Qualifications

• Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent.
• Educated to diploma level or NVQ 3, City & Guilds certificate level in Business Administration or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive and efficient Reception service within the Emergency Department.
• Register/book in patients, update patient records, make referrals to other departments, using the Trust's IT system.
• Scanning of patient documentation.
• Deal with enquiries at Reception that are not necessarily ED related.
