Job summary
Audley Villages is seeking a Night Porter to safeguard and welcome residents and guests overnight. You will conduct security checks, respond to emergencies, and maintain a calm, professional presence while supporting reception and routine tasks.
You will work independently through the night, handle priorities, and ensure the village is ready for the following day. Previous night/security experience is valued, with full training provided.
Qualifications
- Experience in a night security, hospitality or care role.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently overnight and manage priorities.
- Strong observational and decision-making skills.
- Reliable and professional with a customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Carry out regular security checks and monitor CCTV.
- Respond to alarms and emergencies calmly and promptly.
- Provide a warm, professional presence for owners and guests at night.
- Supervise reception and handle overnight calls and enquiries.
- Identify hazards and report maintenance issues.
- Support owners while respecting privacy and dignity.
- Maintain high cleanliness and presentation in communal areas.
- Complete nightly cleaning, refuse collection and pool/leisure prep when needed.
- Prepare facilities for the day team and hand over clearly.
