Job summary

The Abbey in Great Malvern is seeking a Night Porter to ensure overnight security and deliver first-class guest service. You will handle front desk tasks, assist with night audit, and support late bar/room service orders while maintaining the welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Applicants should have prior guest-facing hospitality experience, immaculate presentation, and strong English communication. IT proficiency and knowledge of Opera are preferred to support PMS operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a guest facing role in hospitality.
• Commitment to deliver excellent customer service.
• Immaculate personal presentation.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• IT skills and working knowledge of Opera.

Responsibilities

• Overnight security of the hotel and safety of guests.
• Assist with night audit processes and front desk duties.
• Check-in and check-out duties, including out-of-hours reservations.
• Deliver food and drink to late bars and room service orders.
• Deliver guest mail and express check-out invoices to bedrooms.
• Set up and presentation of meeting rooms and front-of-house areas.
