Job summary

The Ickworth, part of Luxury Family Hotels, is recruiting a Night Porter to oversee the hotel from sundown to sunrise, ensuring guest safety and comfort. This permanent 16‑hour/week role offers £13.28 per hour plus generous service charge and benefits.

You will handle night guest inquiries, assist with check‑ins, and maintain reception standards while working as part of a friendly team. Flexibility for occasional extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Engaging personality with a passion for service.
• Ability to interact with all guests including children.
• Calm under pressure and able to handle emergencies.
• Availability for night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise: safety, security and guest well‑being.
• Guest assistance: check‑ins, guest enquiries, comfort.
• Maintain brand standards of reception/public areas; keep areas tidy and presentable.
• Work as part of a team delivering concierge service.
• Understand health and safety and stay calm in challenging circumstances.
