Job summary

Worcester Whitehouse Hotel in the heart of Worcester is seeking a reliable part-time Night Porter to support night operations, ensuring guest safety, security and a welcoming environment. You will patrol public areas, respond to emergencies, assist late check-ins, perform cleaning in public spaces, monitor CCTV and alarms, log night activities and coordinate handovers with other teams.

Shifts are 15 hours per week, two nights per week from 11.00pm - 7.00am over 7 nights, with a 30-minute break.

Qualifications

• Previous night porter or night security experience preferred.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and maintain logs.
• Willing to work night shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patrol public areas and hotel premises to maintain security and safety during night hours.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, emergencies, or incidents during the night shift.
• Assist with late check-ins and early check-outs, providing efficient guest service.
• Perform cleaning duties in public areas including lobby, corridors, restrooms, and entrances.
• Monitor and operate security systems, alarms, and CCTV cameras as required.
• Handle luggage storage and transportation for arriving and departing guests.
• Maintain clear and accurate logs of night activities and incidents.
• Support emergency procedures and fire safety protocols as needed.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless handovers and communication.
