Job summary

Savills is seeking a Security Officer in Birmingham to assist with site safety, CCTV monitoring, and handling public enquiries during 12-hour night shifts on a 4-on/4-off rota.

You will patrol, record incidents, ensure contractor compliance with H&S, and uphold the site rules. Applicants must hold a valid SIA Licence (and Public Space Surveillance where applicable) and demonstrate excellent customer service and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing security services and CCTV monitoring in busy public environments.
• SIA Security Licence and Public Space Surveillance Licence (CCTV) where required.
• Strong customer service skills at all times.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage demanding situations.
• Honest and reliable work ethic.
• Willingness to training for emergency procedures on-site.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work 4 on/4 off weekends/nights.
• Willingness to undertake additional training and career development.
• Well presented with good record-keeping accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 18:30 to 06:30 on a 4 on/4 off roster.
• Carry out regular site patrols and CCTV monitoring.
• Record incidents in the DoB and escalate where appropriate.
• Ensure contractors comply with site H&S and company policies.
• Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for the public.
• Assist with enquiries from the public as required.
• Adhere to all site rules and conditions of employment.
