Job summary

North is seeking a Safety & Security Engineer to join our on-site team in Birmingham. You will service CCTV and Access Control systems, perform upgrades, and deliver high levels of customer service across projects.

The role includes on-site visits, site surveys, and a 24/7 on-call rota. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of electronic security, be able to work independently and within a team, hold a full UK driving licence and DBS clearance, and engage with customers to propose

Qualifications

• Experience in Security engineering with CCTV and access control systems.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK manual driving licence and DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Servicing a wide range of Enterprise Level CCTV and Access Control Systems.
• Retrofit upgrades or extensions to existing systems as part of remedial works packages.
• Provide high levels of customer service on site and remotely as required.
• Interpret site plans and survey documentation to plan installs.
• React to site calls with a focus on first-time fixes.
• Offer on-site technical support during reactive and planned visits.
• Complete documentation in line with company standards.
• Be part of a 24/7 on-call rota.
• Advise customers on latest products and services to improve efficiency.
• Adhere to Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Information Security and Data Protection standards.
