Job summary

ABM is seeking a CCTV Operator / Security Guard in Oxford to provide a professional security presence across the site. You will monitor CCTV, control access, patrol areas, and promptly respond to incidents and emergencies.

The role requires monitoring and reporting, maintaining logs, and working in a busy site environment. Previous security experience and a valid SIA licence are essential, with additional CCTV/PSS and First Aid qualifications desirable.

Qualifications

• SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence required or desirable.
• Previous security experience is preferred.
• Experience monitoring CCTV systems is advantageous.
• Good communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence on site.
• Conduct regular internal and external patrols.
• Monitor and control access and egress points.
• Verify identification and credentials of visitors, contractors and staff.
• Prevent unauthorised access, theft, damage or criminal activity.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Monitor CCTV systems and report suspicious activity.
• Maintain accurate records of CCTV incidents and observations.
• Assist management and law enforcement with CCTV footage reviews when required.
• Ensure all CCTV equipment is operational and report faults.
