Job summary

Crystal Care Collection is seeking a Night Senior Care Assistant to lead the night shift in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll mentor colleagues, supervise medication administration, and support the Night Care Team Leader to ensure safe, compassionate care throughout the night.

You’ll work with NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), bring excellent communication, and maintain dignity and respect for residents while helping prepare the home for the day ahead.

Qualifications

• Holds NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing environment.
• Confident administering medication and maintaining records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mentoring and supporting colleagues.
• Compassion, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Calm under pressure in a busy team.
• Committed to delivering exceptional resident care every night.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care throughout the night.
• Assist the Night Care Team Leader in leading and coordinating the night care team.
• Act as a Key Worker for allocated residents and update care plans.
• Safely administer medication and maintain records per policy.
• Conduct resident wellbeing and safety checks and respond to calls.
• Review and update care plans to reflect changing needs.
• Mentor and develop less experienced colleagues.
• Monitor health and escalate concerns, with documentation.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals and on-call managers.
• Maintain dignity, confidentiality for residents.
• Support personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration and repositioning.
• Prepare home for the day ahead and keep areas clean and welcoming.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control, Safeguarding.
• Undertake any other duties as directed by the General Manager.
