Job summary

Crystal Care Collection is seeking a Night Senior Care Assistant in Shripney to lead the night care team, deliver compassionate, person-centred care, and support the Night Care Team Leader. You will be trusted to administer medications, review care plans and guide less experienced colleagues.

You should be working towards NVQ Level 3, have care experience in residential or nursing settings, and excel at communication, mentoring, and staying calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing setting.
• Confident administering medication and maintaining records.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mentoring and supporting colleagues.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure in a busy night environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care throughout the night.
• Lead, support and coordinate the night care team with the Night Care Team Leader.
• Act as a Key Worker for allocated residents and update care plans.
• Safely administer medication and maintain records.
• Respond to call bells, incidents and changes in residents' wellbeing.
• Review and update care plans to ensure high standards of care.
• Mentor and develop less experienced colleagues.
• Monitor residents' health, escalate concerns and liaise with healthcare professionals.
• Maintain dignity, confidentiality and promote independence where possible.
• Prepare the home for the day ahead and ensure areas are clean and welcoming.
