Job summary

Quantum Care in Royston is seeking a Night Care Assistant for Melwood Grange Care Home, a 73‑bed facility. You will provide compassionate, person‑centred care and support residents through the night, ensuring dignity and comfort in a well‑appointed environment.

We welcome applicants with a positive attitude; training is provided and there are progression opportunities. Night shifts are 9.30pm–7.30am, with 20–35 hours per week and enhanced weekend pay in a no‑for‑profit setting serving older

Qualifications

• Must be able to provide compassionate person-centred care.
• Training will be provided and a Level 2 Diploma may be pursued.
• Must be able to work shifts including weekends and evenings.
• Must be aged 18 years or over to apply.
• No previous care experience required beyond positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including washing, dressing and grooming.
• Assisting residents with meals, hydration and nutrition.
• Supporting residents to maintain independence and daily activities.
• Following individual care plans and safety procedures.
• Working as part of a team to deliver high quality, person-centred care.
• Ensuring residents are safe and comfortable during the night.

We are seeking a Night Care Assistant to join our welcoming team at Melwood Grange Care Home in Royston. A luxury, 73 bed purpose-built care home set in the Hertfordshire countryside, Melwood Grange offers exceptional care in stylish surroundings, with premium facilities including a cinema, café, hair and beauty salon, and beautifully landscaped gardens.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• You’ll be naturally compassionate and patient, it is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because as long as you have a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You’ll be willing to undertake all aspects of care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Training will be provided.
• A willingness to be trained and to achieve Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
• The ability to work shifts (including weekends and evenings).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence
• Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• Follow individual personalised care plans
• Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person- centred care
