Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Night Care Assistant for The Mead Care Home in Borehamwood. The role involves overnight personal care, support with meals and daily activities, and ensuring residents are safe during the night. Training is provided and the role supports residents with dignity and comfort.

You do not need prior care experience; a positive attitude and good communication skills are valued. The position offers flexible hours, weekend work, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient disposition; strong communication is essential.
• Willingness to undertake all aspects of care and to follow personalised care plans.
• Training will be provided and Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, plus meals and hydration.
• Assist residents with daily activities to promote independence.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Follow individual care plans and work as part of a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Ensure residents are safe and comfortable through the night.

Contract: Part Time – Perm / Flexible hours also available

Hour: 20 hours per week

Pay: £14.14 per hour weekdays & £15.14 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 9.30pm to 7.30am – Weekdays and alternative Weekends

We are seeking a Night Care Assistant to join our warm and supportive team at The Mead Care Home in Borehamwood.

With a friendly atmosphere and strong sense of community, The Mead provides residential, dementia and respite care, where residents and colleagues alike are valued, supported and encouraged to thrive.

What You’ll Bring

• You’ll be naturally compassionate and patient, it is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because as long as you have a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You’ll be willing to undertake all aspects of care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Training will be provided.
• A willingness to be trained and to achieve Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
• The ability to work shifts (including weekends and evenings).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
