Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Care Assistant for Melwood Grange in Royston. This part-time weekend role offers 10–15 hours weekly with a pay of £13.96 per hour, working either 7.30am–2.30pm or 2.30pm–9.30pm at Desbrow Lane, Royston.

You will provide compassionate, person-centred care, assisting with washing, dressing, meals and daily activities to support residents’ independence. Training is provided and DBS checks are offered.

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our welcoming team at Melwood Grange Care Home in Royston. A luxury, 73 bed purpose‑built care home set in the Hertfordshire countryside, Melwood Grange offers exceptional care in stylish surroundings, with premium facilities including a cinema, café, hair and beauty salon, and beautifully landscaped gardens. As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person‑centred care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first‑class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365‑day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence
• Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• Follow individual personalised care plans
• Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person‑centred care
