Job summary

Agincare is recruiting a Care Assistant for Sunnymeade Care Home in Chard, Somerset, to work the night shift from 20:00 to 08:00. You will commit to 36 hours per week, including alternate weekends, providing companionship, personal care and support with medications.

As part of a leading UK care provider, you will have access to funded training up to QCF level 5, a pension scheme, and flexible earning options. Visa sponsorship is not offered at this time.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Availability for 20:00–08:00 night shift.
• Commitment to 36 hours per week with alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Companionship – providing support, communication and engagement.
• Personal care – wash, bath, shower, dressing and oral care.
• Medication – prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals – supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks – light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility – helping the client live as independently as possible.
• Social activities – trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
