Job summary

Agincare is recruiting a Care Assistant for Sunnymeade Care Home in Chard, Somerset. You will provide companionship, personal care, and support with medications, meals and mobility to help residents live independently.

The role includes evening/night shifts (20:00–08:00), 12 hours per week, with every other weekend worked. Visa sponsorship is not available. Agincare offers training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in care settings preferred
• Right to work in the UK for at least 12 months
• Evening/night shifts available (20:00–08:00)
• Part-time role: 12 hours per week, every other weekend
• No visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, engagement and communication
• Support with wash, bath or shower, dressing and oral care
• Prompt, assist or administer medications and creams
• Assist with meals and hydration
• Handle light domestic tasks and maintain a clean environment
• Support mobility to promote independence
• Organise social activities and outings within the home

Requirements

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• The main shift pattern will be 20:00-8:00
• This position will be working 12 hours per week, working every other weekend
• At present, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Companionship – Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care – Supporting with wash, bath or shower, dressing and oral care
• Medication – Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages
• Domestic tasks – Light cleaning tasks
• Mobility – Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility
• Social activities – Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home
