Job summary

Rochdale Borough Council is recruiting for an Accommodation Night Worker to support residents in homeless accommodation. The role covers night shifts at Great Howarth Hostel / Leopold Court, with a 37-hour week on a rota basis including late-evening to early-morning hours.

You will help residents access safe accommodation and relevant services, recording information accurately and safeguarding residents as part of a small, dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Be approachable and have strong communication skills.
• Carry out health & safety checks and report repairs.
• Provide information and guidance on housing processes and benefits.
• Check and update IT systems with accurate notes and follow procedures.
• Respond to emergencies promptly.
• Promote safeguarding and challenge inappropriate behaviour.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
