Job summary

BBC News NI is seeking a Business Coordinator to provide comprehensive business support to managers and team leaders in Belfast. The role covers diary management, payment processing, training coordination and driving cross-team system optimisation.

You will join a busy newsroom environment, with opportunities to develop skills and contribute to a dynamic news operation. Flexible working will be discussed at offer stage and during application.

Qualifications

• Organised and able to prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to handle confidential information and MI reports.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and adapt to changing business needs.
• Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office; learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide admin services, analytics reports and tracking for projects.
• Facilitate effective communication across the business; cascade information and collaborate with divisional specialists.
• Monitor training and support people-related administrative activities.
• Provide diary management, travel logistics, meetings coordination; onboarding/offboarding for staff and freelancers.
• Raise IT support requests and support risk management and data protection processes.
• Support finance and planning: monitor budgets, produce MI, raise PO, handle freelancer bookings.
