BBC News NI Belfast is seeking a diligent Business Coordinator to provide comprehensive business support to managers and team leaders. You will handle diary management, payment processing, training coordination and help optimise cross-team systems.

This role sits within a busy newsroom, offering insight into how a modern newsroom operates and opportunities to build skills. The position includes flexible working discussions and a competitive salary in the £31k–£36k range, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Organised and able to prioritise workload under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical capabilities with handling confidential data and MI reporting.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing business needs.
• Proficient IT skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and learning new systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide general administration services, analytics reports and tracking outputs for projects and working groups.
• Support cross-team communication by cascading information and advising on policy guidance.
• Monitor mandatory training and support people-related admin activities as required.
• Coordinate diary management, travel, meetings and onboarding/offboarding for staff and freelancers.
• Support finance and planning activities, including monitoring budgets, generating MI, raising POs and processing payments.
