Job summary

Persimmon Homes is looking for a Maintenance Operative to carry out remedial and maintenance works in customers’ new homes, ensuring high standards of customer care. You will manage workloads, coordinate with subcontractors, and maintain accurate defect reporting.

Ideal candidates have painting/joinery experience, strong customer service, and a current UK driving licence. PASMA is advantageous and CSCS is preferred for site access.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform a range of homeowner maintenance tasks on new builds.
• Experience in painting and joinery is essential.
• PASMA certificate is advantageous but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills for simple reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise workloads to complete remedial works on time.
• Provide high-quality remedial maintenance in line with policies.
• Minimise costs and accurately record works and sign-offs.
• Complete online defect reporting via the Operative App.
• Co-ordinate with subcontractors and keep customers informed.
• Adhere to HS&E policies across the team.
