Job summary

Arch Insurance (UK) Limited in Glasgow is seeking a Commercial Combined Underwriter to deliver efficient case underwriting for brokers. You will support regional strategy and work towards income and profit objectives with on-site broker development.

The role requires at least 2 years’ underwriting experience, strong broker relationships and the ability to collaborate across functions to achieve goals. ACII progression and a full driving license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ underwriting experience.
• New Business Underwriting preferred.
• Proven broker relationships.
• Experience across functions / matrix organisation.

Responsibilities

• Generate Property & Casualty New Business within risk appetite and authority.
• Adhere to the 4 Call Process to maximise opportunities.
• Achieve Bottom Line, Top Line and Expense targets using KPI guidance.
• Build strong relationships with key brokers to enhance Arch’s local presence.
• Demonstrate negotiation skills to aid conversion and broker relations.
• Share technical and market intelligence with the Regional Manager and team.
• Collaborate with claims and surveyor teams as needed.
