Job summary

Arch Insurance (UK) Limited is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our regional team in the UK. The role focuses on achieving profitability by managing renewals, mid-term adjustments and developing broker relationships in line with the regional strategy.

Your background should include at least 3 years of Commercial underwriting (or broking), strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to manage a profitable portfolio while collaborating with claims and survey teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert CII. Dip CII, or progress towards, is preferred.
• 3 years Commercial Underwriting experience or broking background.
• Current position for at least 6 months and meeting performance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Achieve profitability, growth and expense targets by managing regional KPIs.
• Write renewals and mid-term adjustments up to authority and binder limits.
• Build and maintain relationships with key brokers in the region.
• Contribute to income and GWP targets while aligning with regional strategy.
• Ensure survey requests and policy documentation are processed and reported.
• Conduct case reviews to ensure QA procedures are followed.
