Job summary

Arch Europe Insurance Services Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a Commercial Combined Underwriter to deliver efficient case underwriting to brokers, align with regional strategy, and support financial plans.

You will generate Property & Casualty new business, maintain broker relationships, and work with claims and surveyor teams to enhance technical knowledge and profitability.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years underwriting experience, broker networks, and ACII progress is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the 4 Call Process to maximise opportunities arising.
• Achieve Bottom Line, Top Line and Expense targets by managing and operating to the KPIs of the region.
• Enhance Arch's standing and presence locally by maintaining strong relationships with key brokers.
• Display strong negotiation skills that aid conversion and relationships with our key brokers.
• Contribute to the technical knowledge of the company by feeding back market intelligence to the Regional Manager.
• Work collaboratively with claims and surveyor teams when required.

The Position

We are looking for a Commercial Combined Underwriter to join the team here at Arch in Glasgow. This role will achieve income and profit objectives through the delivery of an efficient case underwriting service to brokers through regular on-site broker development, supporting the technical management of the regional account in conjunction with the regional strategy, financial plan and personal objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Generate Property & Casualty New Business whilst writing within risk selection, appetite and underwriting authority
• Adherence to the 4 Call Process to maximise opportunities arising
• Achieve Bottom Line, Top Line and Expense targets by managing and operating to the Key Performance Indicators of the region
• Enhance Arch's standing and presence locally by establishing and maintaining strong personal relationships with key directors and staff at the Region's most important brokers.
• Display strong negotiation skills that aid conversion and relationships with our key brokers.
• Contribute to the technical knowledge of the company by feeding back technical and commercial market intelligence to the Regional Manager and wider team
• Work collaboratively with other parts of the organisation, especially with the claims and surveyor teams, when required.

Required Skills and Experience:
