The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a New Business Manager to join our Commercial Sales team on a Maternity cover basis in London.
As New Business Manager, you’ll play a key role in generating sales for the ITV Commercial team. You will be an ambassador for ITV and the TV market; developing, articulating and selling ITV’s complete offering via linear and digital with an emphasis on driving ITV brand count.
Working with both clients and media agencies, you will gain insights into a brands marketing plans and advise on appropriate ways TV / BVOD/ ITV & YouTube can help resolve marketing challenges.
Reporting to the Trading Controller and Lead New Business Manager, you’ll create, define and execute an ongoing business plan to identify, approach and ultimately convert brands to ITV.
Key responsibilities
Alongside the above, you’ll also have responsibility for:
- Partnering with our customers to drive revenue by converting brands active anywhere including on video but not carried by ITV and attracting new advertisers’ investment across our Linear and VoD platforms.
- Identifying new brands/clients and determining the correct approach to successfully convert into new business.
- Develop strong working relationships with key influencers in Media & Digital agencies (senior management, planners, data, digital buyers) and Creative agencies to develop clear strategies to drive new and creative income into ITV`s VOD and multi-platform offerings.
- Conduct introductory as well as on-going insight sessions for agencies and clients, collaborating with ITV’s existing resource to enhance our existing proposition.
- Work with ITV’s research and data teams to demonstrate the value of ITV investment for media plans.
- Evolve existing trading models and create bespoke and relevant trading solutions in order to achieve sales targets.
- Work with key stakeholders across the ITV business (e.g. technology, online, sales ops, planning and strategy teams) to develop and enhance our sales material and products.
- Work with Client Direct, VOD, Data and Content teams to help align to commercial requirements and ITV Online Ad Operations to ensure delivery of all campaigns where relevant.
- Use analytics and/or other reporting to identify possible targets.
- Liaise with internal marketing to ensure we have relevant sales materials to effectively convert identified business opportunities.
- To have knowledge of the UK Broadcast and Digital markets including key areas of regulation including CRR.
- Cultivate an understanding of current ITV opportunities for new and lapsed advertisers and how to leverage these opportunities.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Experience of working within TV Sales/Trading, TV buying/ Planning
- Consultative approach to your work - ability to develop key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the market and strong commercial awareness
