Job summary

SER Limited in Northampton is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow an existing portfolio and win new customers in ecommerce, freight, logistics, 3PL and manufacturing sectors. You will drive £250,000 in new business while managing the current client base and coordinating with a sales support team to maximise service delivery.

The role offers a generous package (£45k-£55k DOE) plus commission/bonus (OTE £80k), car allowance, pension, 22–25 days holiday, health plan and a company laptop

Qualifications

• A good understanding of Microsoft Office Software.
• Strong account management and new business skills.
• Sound experience in a sales environment.
• Experience of packaging, distribution, 3PL, freight, logistics or pallet sectors is preferred.
• Strong technical and creative problem-solving skills.

• Adaptable and flexible in managing workload.

Responsibilities

• Proactively drive new business across the listed markets and target £250,000 in new business.
• Manage the existing portfolio and create additional opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with a sales support team to maximise service delivery.
• Develop new markets, growth areas and partnerships while following the organisation's sales process.
• Effectively manage time and diary to meet KPI targets.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders on an international scale when needed.

They have a very innovative approach to the industry and continue to grow each year especially in these specific Ecommerce, Freight, Logistics, 3PL and Manufacturing. The company are now seeking a Business Development Manager to develop an existing portfolio, but also bring on new customers in the above sectors.

Location - Northampton

£45,000 - £55,000 DOE + commission/bonus (OTE £80,000)

Responsibilities Include:

• You will proactively drive new business through the markets above and will look to achieve £250,000 in new business.
• Manage the existing portfolio where you will create extra opportunities to grow the customer base.
• You will be driven to succeed and will also have the ability to work with a highly effective sales support team in order to maximise the service of the company.
• Be able to deal with new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services prospection, negotiation and commercial follow up of UK customers and branching out further afield acting in the markets targeted by the organisation.
• You will be able to manage your time and diary effectively to achieve set KPI's.
• You will be working with internal stakeholders on an international scale to ensure a smooth transition through the sales process.
• Promote the company and its business.
