Job summary

The Grange School in Thatcham is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support neurodiverse pupils aged 7–16, helping them access learning in a calm, inclusive setting. You’ll assist teaching staff across activities, foster engagement, and support learning goals.

This permanent, term-time role offers £23,475.20–£24,371.20 per year, with 5.6 weeks holiday, a contributory pension, DBS cover, and access to development opportunities and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Patience and resilience when supporting neurodiverse pupils.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Driving licence to enable pupil transport.
• Genuine interest in education for diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in all classroom activities, including planning and assessing learning.
• Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups to meet learning goals.
• Help keep pupils engaged, motivated, and prepared for activities.
