Job summary

E‑ACT The Grange School in Daventry is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing and development within a nurturing, child‑centred environment. You will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted support and help pupils engage confidently with their learning and achieve their full potential.

The role involves supervising pupils, implementing education plans, and promoting positive relationships and wellbeing.

Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English minimum grade C/4 or equivalent.
Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience.
Experience supporting a child/children in a school setting.

Responsibilities

Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff.
Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate.
