Job summary
Randstad Education seeks enthusiastic and proactive individuals to provide 1-on-1 learning support for students aged 11 to 16 with special educational needs. You will help pupils reach their potential in a supportive classroom, with full training provided for sensitive situations and opportunities for further professional development.
The role focuses on neurodivergent learners, with emphasis on wellbeing and ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting students with special educational needs in a school setting.
- Ability to build warm, supportive relationships with pupils.
- Willingness to undertake free training opportunities, such as Level 2 award in supporting teaching and learning in schools.
Responsibilities
- Establish warm, caring relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and ready to learn.
- Encourage personal development and independence in daily tasks and social interactions.
- Assist the Class Teacher with day-to-day classroom activities and adapt to school needs.
- Support cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural and physical development of pupils.
- Full training will be provided for situations requiring physical intervention.
