Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking a Sales Manager – Navy to lead strategic UK marine accounts from our Fareham office, with travel to customers nationwide.

You will build strong relationships with UK MOD and Prime Contractors, drive sales pipelines, set targets with the GM Sales, and tailor value propositions for marine products. Travel about 60% is expected, and excellence in negotiation and presentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced Sales Manager with a proven track record in delivering business results.
• Commercial mindset aimed at growth and maintaining profit margins.
• Consultative negotiation skills with ability to close deals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel nationwide (~60%).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain close contact between Wärtsilä UK MOD personnel and Prime Contractors to drive new product sales and services.
• Lead and manage sales accounts to meet strategic goals.
• Lead or participate in sales projects and report progress to stakeholders.
• Set targets and review performance with the GM Sales.
• Maintain a CRM opportunity pipeline and submit visit reports within agreed timescales.
