Job summary

KONE is seeking an Escalator Field Trainer to support our Installation teams across the UK, combining technical training with hands-on coaching in the field. This nationwide role involves travel and overnight stays, with overtime paid, and supporting about 15 apprentices and improvers alongside skilled engineers.

You will coach, train and assess in live installations, help introduce new products and methods, and drive consistency in quality and safety standards nationwide.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• CSCS card held or obtainable as part of safety requirements.
• NVQ Level 3 Escalator Installation (QCF) qualification is essential.
• Significant hands-on escalator installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Coaching apprentices, improvers and engineers to develop technical competence.
• Delivering training on escalator installation, fault finding, repair and working methods.
• Providing technical support and coaching during live installation work.
• Supporting introduction of new products, tools, methods and processes.
• Identifying skills gaps and providing targeted development.
• Carrying out practical assessments and completing Pathway sign-off.
• Promoting safety, quality and installation standards.
• Sharing knowledge across the field organisation.
• Working with supervisors and operational teams to improve quality and capability.
