Job summary

KONE is seeking an Escalator Field Trainer to support Installation teams across the UK. The role combines hands-on coaching in the field with technical training to raise installation quality and nationwide standards.

You will work with around 15 apprentices and improvers alongside skilled engineers, travel regularly with overnight stays, and earn overtime pay. A strong background in escalator installation and the ability to coach others are essential.

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence is required.
CSCS card is required.
NVQ Level 3 Escalator Installation (QCF) is required.
Significant hands-on escalator installation experience is required.

Responsibilities

Coaching apprentices, improvers and skilled engineers to develop their technical competence.
Delivering training on escalator installation, fault finding, repair and working methods.
Providing technical support and coaching during live installation work.
Supporting the introduction of new products, tools, methods and processes.
Identifying skills and competence gaps and providing targeted development.
Carrying out practical assessments and completing Pathway sign-off.
Providing early intervention where quality or capability issues are identified.
Helping to reduce snags, errors and repeat visits.
Promoting KONE safety, quality and installation standards.
Sharing technical knowledge and best practice across the field organisation.
Working closely with supervisors, technical specialists and operational teams.
Supporting continuous improvement in quality, productivity and technical capability.
