Job summary

KONE is seeking an Escalator Field Trainer to support our Installation teams across the UK. The role blends hands-on coaching with technical training in the field, with regular overnight stays and travel paid.

You will oversee around 15 apprentices and improvers, helping to build competence and raise installation standards nationwide. The successful candidate will have strong escalator engineering experience, a background in installation, and the ability to coach others in live environments.

Qualifications

• Strong practical escalator engineering experience with installation background.
• Willingness to travel across the UK with overnight stays.
• Full UK driving licence and CSCS card are required.

Responsibilities

• Coaching apprentices, improvers and skilled engineers to develop their technical competence.
• Delighting training on escalator installation, fault finding, repair and working methods.
• Providing technical support and coaching during live installation work.
• Supporting the introduction of new products, tools, methods and processes.
• Identifying skills and competence gaps and providing targeted development.
• Carrying out practical assessments and completing Pathway sign-off.
• Providing early intervention where quality or capability issues are identified.
• Helping to reduce snags, errors and repeat visits.
• Promoting KONE safety, quality and installation standards.
• Sharing technical knowledge and best practices across the field organisation.
• Working closely with supervisors, technical specialists and operational teams.
• Supporting continuous improvement in quality, productivity and technical capability.
