Job summary

KONE is seeking an Escalator Field Trainer to coach installation teams across the UK and build hands-on technical capability in the field.

You will spend much of your time in the field, travelling to sites, delivering practical training on installation, fault finding and working methods, and supporting live projects with engineering expertise. Regular overnight stays are expected with paid travel and overtime.

Qualifications

• Coaching apprentices and engineers to develop technical competence
• Delivering training on escalator installation, fault finding, repair and working methods
• Providing technical support and coaching during live installation work
• Identifying skills gaps and providing targeted development
• Carrying out practical assessments and sign-off of pathways
• Promoting safety, quality and installation standards in the field

Responsibilities

• Coaching apprentices, improvers and engineers to develop their technical competence
• Delivering training on escalator installation, fault finding, repair and working methods
• Providing technical support and coaching during live installation work
• Supporting introduction of new products, tools, methods and processes
• Identifying skills and competence gaps and providing targeted development
• Carrying out practical assessments and pathway sign-off
• Providing early intervention for quality or capability issues
• Helping reduce snags, errors and repeat visits
• Promoting KONE safety and installation standards
• Sharing knowledge across the field organisation
• Working with supervisors, technical specialists and operations teams
• Supporting continuous improvement in quality and capability
