Job summary

Fire and Security Careers is seeking an experienced Service Director to lead service delivery across a growing national operation covering Air Conditioning, AOV, Fire Dampers and HVAC. You will manage a team of six including Helpdesk, Service Managers and Operational Leads, ensuring outstanding service standards while driving growth.

Location: Surrey/Kent (3 days per week) with travel across the South East and Midlands.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Director or similar in a service-led engineering business.
• Background in Mechanical Maintenance, HVAC, Building Services or similar.
• Strong leadership and commercial/operational management skills.
• Experience leading multi-site service operations.
• Track record of improving service performance and customer satisfaction.
• Experience supporting growth, acquisitions or organisational change is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the service management team.
• Drive service delivery, customer satisfaction and operational performance.
• Implement and maintain service excellence standards across multiple offices.
• Support integration of acquired businesses and embed best practice.
• Collaborate with Division Directors for HVAC, AOV and Fire Damper services.
• Develop scalable systems and processes to support growth.
• Play a key role in doubling the engineering workforce.
