Job summary

Oak Tree Primary School, located in Stockport, is seeking a SENDCo on a 0.6 FTE basis with no teaching commitment. The role sits on the Senior Leadership Team and leads SEND provision to raise standards across the school.

The successful candidate will hold NASENCO/NPQ SENCO, drive collaboration with families and external agencies, and play a pivotal role in continuing our inclusive culture. Start date January 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience leading SEND provision within a school.
• Proven track record of improving outcomes for learners with SEND.
• Excellent communication with families, staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic direction of SEND provision as a member of the SLT.
• Lead, train, and mentor staff to raise standards for learners with SEND.
• Collaborate with families and external agencies to meet needs.
• Ensure a smooth transition from outgoing SENDCo and maintain continuity.
