Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking an experienced SENCO in Hayes, West London to lead and develop the school's SEND provision. The role involves working with staff, parents and external agencies to ensure tailored support for students with SEND.

The ideal candidate will have QTS and NASENCO or be willing to work towards it, with proven SEND experience and a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice. This is a full-time, fixed-term 1-year contract starting ASAP or in January.

Qualifications

  • QTS is required.
  • NASENCO or willingness to work towards it.
  • Proven experience with students with SEND.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and related legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the school's SEND provision in line with statutory requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor students with SEND; implement appropriate interventions.
  • Coordinate and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Support teachers in adapting teaching strategies and resources for learners with SEND.
  • Manage and develop Learning Support Assistants and SEND staff.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, local authorities and external professionals.
  • Monitor student progress and use data to drive SEND improvements.
  • Promote an inclusive culture so all students access the curriculum.
