Position: Music Teacher

Location: Redbridge

Salary: Outer London MPS/UPS

Start Date: January 2026

Smart Teachers is working in partnership with a well-regarded and inclusive secondary school in East London to recruit a talented and adaptable Music Supply Teacher. This role is ideal for a passionate music educator who can deliver high-quality lessons and maintain continuity of learning during staff absence.

The Role:

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities at KS5 depending on experience. You will be expected to confidently manage classes, follow set schemes of work where provided, and inspire students through practical and theoretical music learning

Key responsibilities include:
  • Delivering planned Music lessons and adapting where necessary
  • Teaching a range of musical skills, including performance, composition, and listening
  • Maintaining positive behaviour and a productive classroom environment
  • Supporting extracurricular music activities where appropriate
  • Providing feedback to the department and covering teacher

About You:
