Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Security Officer for London Transport Museum. You will ensure the safety of visitors, staff and exhibits, perform searches, monitor CCTV and patrol the site, while delivering high standards of customer service.

The role requires holding SIA licences for Door Supervision and CCTV, with ongoing training and opportunities for progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic IT skills and ability to use incident reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
• Welcome and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Conduct security searches of visitors, bags, and personal belongings.
• Monitor and control access to the museum, staff areas and restricted locations.
• Carry out regular patrols of galleries, exhibitions, retail areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Protect museum collections, exhibits and assets from theft or damage.
