Job summary

Vigilant Security is looking for a Museum Security Officer at the Postal Museum near Farringdon, London. You will patrol the premises, respond to incidents, and uphold exemplary customer service and professionalism in a public environment.

The role requires strong communication, the use of a PDA and online reporting platforms, and a current SIA license. Day shifts are 07:30–18:00, 4 on 4 off, with occasional overtime for events.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and professional demeanour.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use a PDA and online reporting systems.
• SIA license required for Door Supervision and vetting up to 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide a prompt, polite welcome to visitors.
• Patrol the museum and perform building integrity checks.
• Respond to incidents and escalate appropriately.
• Maintain security incident records and report findings.
