Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our Reading team at Fobney WTW. You will inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical and electrical plant and equipment with minimal supervision, ensuring site operations remain reliable for customers.

This permanent, full-time role offers a salary up to £45,000 per year, a pension, generous leave, and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical plant equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults and implement effective repairs.
• Proven multi-disciplinary skills with electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled electrical and mechanical maintenance on site equipment.
• Diagnose faults and restore plant to full operation with minimal downtime.
• Provide technical guidance and support to trainees as required.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain accurate records of work.
