Job summary

Yolk Recruitment are proud to be working with an established, family-owned manufacturer based in Blackwood. They are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve highly automated production equipment on a 4 on 4 off shift (2 days / 2 nights) with a £50,000 salary.

You'll work across electrical and mechanical systems, perform fault finding on PLCs (Siemens/Allen‑Bradley), carry out planned maintenance, and drive reliability improvements in a busy manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Extensive maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing/production environments.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on automated production machinery.
• PLC fault-finding experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley systems.
• Experience with both planned and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance across automated equipment.
• Fault-finding and repairs to minimise downtime and keep production running.
• Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Fault-find on PLC-controlled machinery (Siemens/Allen-Bradley).
• Maintain motors, drives, sensors, conveyors and related equipment.
• Identify recurring faults and drive reliability improvements.
• Support engineering improvements and investment projects.
• Collaborate with production and other engineers to prioritise maintenance.
